Verizon Wireless and Verizon Fios Sponsor McGruff Safe Kids Total ID Events To Help Raise Safety Awareness and Protect Children in Their Communities

Dunedin, FL (PRWEB) June 25, 2008

McGruff Safe Kids provides child safety packages at grand openings of new Verizon Wireless stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York.

The statistics are frightening to say the least. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, every 40 seconds a child is reported missing or abducted. That translates to over 2,000 children per day and over 800,000 per year!

When a child becomes missing every passing second counts. Law enforcement officials need as much information as possible to help track down a missing child. Having this information is the single most useful tool available to help law enforcement locate a missing child.

“The most recent statistics on child abductions are staggering. Verizon Wireless is pleased to sponsor this important event that will enable parents to better protect their children,” said Christine Baron, president of Verizon Wireless’ Tri-State Region. “I encourage local families to take advantage of this free service and potentially life-saving educational activities that we have planned for the day.”

Each McGruff child safety package includes a full-sized ID card that contains the child’s 10 digital fingerprints, color digital photo and vital personal information, two laminated, wallet-sized ID cards that contain the child’s digital thumbprint, color digital photo and vital personal information, a DNA Self-Collection Kit that will allow a parent to easily obtain and store their child’s saliva, hair and blood samples, a McGruff Jr. Crimefighter Sticker Badge and a McGruff Envelope.

The McGruff Safe Kids Total ID System is the leading, most comprehensive child safety/identification/education program available in the United States. It is the only digital child identification program licensed by the National Crime Prevention Council.

Neil Arfmann, a retired Tampa Bay, FL police officer, is the President and cofounder of the McGruff Safe Kids Total Identification System, a company committed to the safety and education of America’s children. Talent INC. Canada, and Stage One Academy of Richmond, B.C., to Sponsor Introductory On Camera Audition Technique Workshop in Vancouver for Young Actors and Parents

Vancouver, B.C., Canada (PRWEB) January 09, 2013

Talent marketing giants Doug Sloan and John Stevens of Talent INC. Canada, and The Stage One Academy in Richmond, B.C. have joined forces to bring awareness and information about the entertainment industry to the Vancouver Area.

The purpose of the workshop to be hosted by the Stage One Academy and Talent INC Canada is to give parents the tools and proper information they need so that when they meet with people who want to work with their kids, they know what questions to ask and they know what fees and services are acceptable and which are not.

Since the dawn of YouTube, and reality TV shows like, Canadas Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and The X Factor, parents and kids alike have been obsessed with instant stardom. It is an obsession that is polluting the committed performing arts institutions globally.

No one wants to work at it anymore! exclaimed Doug Sloan the co-founder of Talent INC Canada.

These kids and parents see these performers make it seemingly overnight and they think it is easy. They dont see the hours of training, and countless hours of practice. Added Sloan.

Parents need to be the first line of defense to protect their kids from unscrupulous companies that prey on the hopes and dreams of young people. Said John who is an accomplished performer with credits all over the world and now co-owns Talent INC Canada with his partner Doug Sloan.

The workshop is designed for parents and young performers and is completely interactive. Parents get to see their child work with Mr. Stevens who is a master level coach with a long list of now celebrity clients. Each child will receive critiques from both Mr. Stevens and Mr. Sloan as well as learn about the business side of acting.

A handful of young performers and their families will be invited to attend a training bootcamp for actors in Toronto, where talent will have the opportunity to not only further their education in the arts, but they will also have the opportunity to network with some of Canadas top casting directors, directors, producers, and agents. There will be a short list of top agencies from NY and LA in attendance as well who primarily scout for the fashion industry where it is easier to get sponsorship across borders.

If you would like to attend this Audition Workshop please contact info(at)Talent-Inc(dot)ca, or call their studios based in Toronto at (647)748-7200. Admission is free, but space is limited.

Talent INC and Talent INC (Canada) have specialized training programs that offer not only the tools to succeed but the opportunity to use those skills to further their career through their international marketing network.
