Families Booking Popular Reunion Cruises during Wave Season Now Qualify for Travel Insureds Group Travel Insurance in 2010

East Hartford, CT (PRWEB) February 11, 2010

Travel Insureds recently updated group travel insurance plans allow coverage for family groups of 10 or more members booking their reunion cruises. The 2010 Wave Season marks the first time family groups can enjoy group travel insurance savings in the booking period when the industry offers some of its best cruise deals of the year.

The first quarter of the year, the traditional Wave Season period when cruise line members of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) offer some of their most attractive sales, is an opportunity for family groups of 10 or more. They can tap into the growing popularity of family reunion cruises and get a great deal for cruising together in summer, fall or even next winter. Travel Insured International has recently revised and simplified its group travel insurance program into two choices of Travel Insured Lite or Deluxe Group Protection plans. The revision allows family groups of 10 or more members, who previously needed to purchase individual plans, to obtain the savings of Travel Insured group insurance. Remember that group members are required to be traveling to the same destination with the same departure and return dates to be covered on the same Travel Insured group protection plan.

Family travel insurance coverage allows for groups of relatives to take advantage of the popular reunion vacation experience that cruising provides. Dozens of daily onboard cruise activities usually include something for everyone, and supervised childrens programs on many vessels, organized for kids in multiple age groups, allow parents to enjoy adult vacations enhanced by hours of child-sitting services.

Members of a family can enjoy several Travel Insured Group Deluxe or Lite Protection plan options that mean flexibility for both the group and its individuals.

One set of attractive premium rates for the group: there is no difference whether the insurance is inclusive for all members or voluntary for individual members.
Cancel for Any Reason coverage is available as an included purchase for the entire group provided it is purchased within 14 days as an option with either the Lite or Deluxe Protection plan. The Cancel for Any Reason option allows group members to cancel their trip for any reason up to two days prior to scheduled departure and obtain up to a 75% reimbursement of prepaid, non-refundable trip costs.
If a group arranges its trip – and buys either the Group Lite or Group Deluxe Protection plan through a travel agent partner of Travel Insured International it enjoys the added option to purchase Cancel for Any Reason coverage either as an included purchase for the entire group or as an optional purchase by individuals within the group.
Group insurance members can qualify, if they purchase the group insurance plan prior to their final trip payment, for a Pre-Existing Medical Condition waiver. The waiver can provide Trip Cancellation coverage before the trip, or Trip Interruption and Emergency Medical Expense coverage during the trip, for a recurrence of a pre-existing condition that might otherwise be excluded from coverage under the plan.

The Best Group Cruise Insurance for Wave Season

In addition to the above pricing features and options, Travel Insured International group plans offer a range of coverage to deal with unforeseen risks that could potentially disrupt a family or other group cruise vacation.

Travel Insureds Group Deluxe Protection plan includes: Trip Cancellation / Interruption; Trip Delay of up to $ 150 per insured per day; Emergency Accident & Sickness Medical Expenses; Emergency Medical Evacuation; Baggage & Personal Effects plus Baggage Delay; 24-hour Emergency Travel Assistance and up to $ 25,000 of Travel Accident coverage.
Travel Insured Group Lite Protection plan has lower premiums and benefit limits than the Deluxe plan. It includes: Trip Cancellation / Interruption; Trip Delay; Emergency Medical Expenses; Emergency Medical Evacuation; Baggage & Personal Effects plus Baggage Delay, and 24-hour Emergency Travel Assistance.

Pre-Booking Travel Insured Group Plans

There is a pre-booking requirement for Travel Insured Group Plans. Group leaders or agents should visit http://www.travelinsured.com or call 1-800-243-3174 and ask for the Group Administrator. A first step is to apply either for inclusive plan for the whole group or a voluntary plan for individual members. For inclusive, the plan must be included for all passengers and payment included as part of the initial trip deposit. For voluntary, the cost of the protection plan must be invoiced as a separate line item with an option to decline the protection plan by subtracting the plan cost from the total package price.

Insured participants must insure the full prepaid cost of the trip. Premiums, which are net price, must be paid along with the group manifest by the 15th of the month prior to trip departure, and both manifests and credit card payment by Visa or Master Card, can be made online. Travel agency checks are also accepted. Once premium payment has been received the travel agent or group leader will receive electronically a Description of Coverage to be distributed to group members.

Find your best family reunion Wave Season cruise deal, preferably with professional travel agent guidance. Remember to take along the best group cruise insurance for Wave Season, either Travel Insured Group Deluxe or Group Lite Protection with optional Cancel for Any Reason. Enjoy your reunion cruise!

East Hartford, CT (Vocus) June 28, 2010

The uncertain track of an Atlantic hurricane will at times cross paths with the most desirable of tropical destinations, normally with vacation-ending results. Whether the experience is Hurricane Charley crossing central Florida in August, 2004, Hurricane Ivan hitting Jamaica in September 2004, Hurricane Wilma overwhelming Cancun in October 2005, or Hurricane Ike striking the Dominican Republic in September 2008, the travel impact of a storm is similar. Vacationers face sudden pressure to rebook early flights home, if available, or to find safer accommodations away from the beach. Those without help sometimes land in public shelters with kindred travelers until the local danger has passed.

Travel Insured International, a leading 3rd-party travel insurer, notes that, in addition to providing Trip Interruption coverage to reimburse unused, nonrefundable trip costs and added airfare home, it provides insured travelers with Worldwide Emergency Travel Assistance available 24/7 anywhere they travel. Help is provided for those seeking transportation alternatives or emergency accommodations, especially when the insurance customers own travel agent or supplier is unreachable.

Travel assistance, medical emergency assistance, ID theft assistance and concierge assistance are all included with the Worldwide Trip Protector and Worldwide Trip Protector Gold trip insurance plans. Political evacuation service is included in the Worldwide Trip Protector Gold plan, or as part of an optional medical insurance upgrade in the Worldwide Trip Protector plan. And additional business concierge services are included in Worldwide Trip Protector Gold, and available as part of the optional baggage insurance upgrade in Worldwide Trip Protector. Medical assistance services, including medical evacuation, are included with all Worldwide Trip Protector plan types, including the Trip Protector Lite and Trip Protector Lite Expanded plans.

This service includes a hospital admission guarantee. The assistance company can arrange for the insureds dependant child to be flown home with an attendant, if necessary, included in coverage. An adult person chosen by the injured or ill insured may be flown as a covered air expense to their medical bedside. The same service will arrange air transportation of the injured or sick insured back to his or her primary residence within one year of their original return date.

Pandora Corp. To Parents: Protect Those New PCs (This Holiday Season)

Las Vegas, Nevada (Vocus/PRWEB) November 26, 2010

Our kids live digitally. Every parent knows that. With the holidays around the corner, and this years wishlists topped with dreams of cell phones, MP3 players, and computers, a lot of high-tech toys are sure to be unwrapped this December.

And though many experts warn against giving a child their own computer, times have changed. A teenager having their own PC is an unavoidable reality now, due to the amount of school work requiring a computer and increased pressure from peers to be socially active online.

What parents tend to forget is that these high tech toys are really for adults, explains Manuel Coats, co-founder of Pandora Corp. A computer that can connect to the Internet can connect your child with the rest of the world and vice versa. Thats not something that should be handed over lightly to your kids.

Pandora Corp., makers of PC Pandora monitoring software, is reminding parents to be smart when giving teens and even younger children their own PC this holiday season. Parents must adopt and enforce a new set of rules, such as leaving the door open and a no Internet after __ time. Also, visiting a childs room often when they are online and asking them questions about what websites they are visiting and who their online friends are needs to become standard family practice.

As you get ready to give them the big gift this year, make sure it is outfitted with the proper parental control software, says Coats. Tools like our PC Pandora make it easy to find that safe, happy medium between teens being able to freely use the Internet socially, and parents not being left in the dark about their childs online activity.

PC Pandora is computer monitoring software that records all user activity on a computer. First-rate monitoring capabilities take sequential snapshots of everything that happens on the screen, allowing parents to see first-hand everything their child does both on and offline. Further details of user activity are made available in text-based files and easy-to-read charts, including websites visited, instant messenger chats, emails sent and received, peer-2-peer files shared, keystrokes logged, programs accessed, Internet search queries and more. The IRIS feature will send those text-based files right to a parents email, and the PC Pandora LIVE! add-on allows parents to check screenshots and adjust parental controls though a secure web login an invaluable feature for working parents who cant always be home when their kids are online.

PC Pandora is essentially a DVR for your childs computer, says Coats. If your child is talking to strangers on social networks, creating and maintaining multiple social network profiles, visiting websites you dont approve of, downloading illegal music and movies, or falling victim to or even worse acting as a cyberbully, you will know about it if you are monitoring their internet activity.

As a special promotion for the holidays, the company is offering the software at a discounted price. Parents can use the code holiday2010 at the pcpandora.com store to get $ 20 off their purchase.

About PC Pandora: Pandora Corporation was formed with one goal to help our customers monitor, control and protect their families and themselves online. First released in mid 2005, PC Pandora has been constantly upgraded to industry-leading specifications and has received accolades from users, reviewers and even school districts and law enforcement agencies, who use the program to help in the day-to-day supervision of the children and citizens they are charged with protecting. The company website devotes space to helping parents by providing them with 18 Tips to Safe Surfing and Pandoras Blog, where current news in the world of online safety is discussed regularly. In addition, the Pandora Corp. has made the PD Pandora Internet Safety Symposium available to schools and law enforcement as a free resource for spreading internet safety awareness to parents. Over the past few years, PC Pandora has vaulted into a leadership position for parental control software by boasting a combination of features that are unparalleled in the monitoring industry. In 2010, Version 6.0 was released, again widening the spectrum of coverage and protection offered by the program. Concurrently released with 6.0, the web-based PC Pandora LIVE! service affords parents the ability to keep their kids safe from anywhere at anytime. PC Pandora is also now available through the Pandora Corp. store at Amazon.com.

Hot Holiday Toys How to Keep Your Children Safe this Holiday Season

Mechanicsburg, PA (PRWEB) December 14, 2011

Parents have scanned the hot holiday toys lists, located those perfect classic toys with a new twist, and stood in line for hours to purchase gifts that will bring laughter and joy to their home this year. Before filling the stockings and wraping the gifts the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind wants to make sure parents consider the safety of each toy.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, injuries related to toys created close to 186,000 injuries that required emergency room treatment for those ages 15 and younger in 2009. The majority of the injuries were to the head and face, including the eyes.

The following tips will help keep children safe this holiday season;

TIP # 1 Consider the Size of the Toy

For toddlers and all children who still mouth objects, avoid toys with small, or sharp parts. These parts could be swallowed and could pose a fatal choking hazard. As a test, if any part of the toy can fit inside a toilet paper roll, it is considered a hazard and not appropriate for children under the age of 3.

TIP#2 Consider the Shape of the Toy

Make sure a toy doesnt have any blunt edges that have points. These toys could puncture the skin or eyes. Avoid toys that shoot or include parts that fly off. BB Guns and air guns should not even be considered toys!

TIP#3 Check the Label

Look for labels that give age recommendations and warnings. Look for any toxic substances that may be painted on the toy and check instructions for clarity.

TIP#4 Discard Plastic Wrapping and Strings

Immediately discard plastic wrapping on toys and avoid all toys with strings. Plastic wrapping may have sharp edges and could cause suffocation, while strings can be very dangerous if the string gets wrapped around your childs neck.

TIP#5 Protect Your Child with Gear

Gifts of sports equipment should always be accompanied by protective gear. 90% of all sports-related eye injuries could have been prevented simple by using appropriate eye protection.

Overman was visibly moved by Masterson’s introduction of a powerful and dramatic video piece on Godboldo’s harrowing fight for custody of her then 9 year-old daughter Ariana, that began with Child Protective Services illegally attempting to remove Ariana from her custody due to Godboldo’s refusal to place her back on powerful psychotropic medication. Before the video was played, Masterson’s introduction ended with his chilling statement; “If the TV footage you are about to see looks like Afghanistan, think again. It’s Detroit.”

Overman stated, “I’m deeply moved by Ms. Godboldo’s story, and honored to have had the chance to meet and spend time with her. I believe strongly that we as citizens have a right to choose whether or not we and our children take prescription medication.”
