Spatial NetWorks new WatchLink technology is now available free for all residents of Florida. WatchLink provides automatic web based reporting of the FDLE sex offender database for the entire state. Florida Attorney General Charlie Crist provides a link to this valuable service for use by all Florida residents on his consumer web pages under CHILD SAFETY at http://myfloridalegal.com/.
The data is drawn from the FDLE online data site but instead of requiring research to find out offender locations and details the service automatically sends the information to the consumer, requiring a one time selection and registration. Residents can access a pre existing list of public and private schools, daycare and aftercare centers to get custom reports of offenders in the areas where their children attend school and play. Any other home, school, work or play address can be entered as well and a custom report generated. Updates are sent as specified by the user for immediate notification or weekly reporting.
While other web-based services give information about the locations of registered sex offenders, WatchLink shows residents these locations in relation to their home, school, daycare, office or any other place of interest. Pictures, names, aliases, convictions and complete physical descriptions are available in the full report. The report is linked to an easy-to-use interactive map that provides the user entered location and specified surrounding area.
Attorney General Charlie Crist says “Protecting our most vulnerable citizens is the highest priority of our State. By providing parents with another tool to fulfill the responsibility of looking out for children, our neighborhoods are that much safer.
For additional information about WatchLink technology and how it tracks and maps registered sex offenders and sexual predators, please visit http://login.watchlink.us/how-it-works.html. To sign up and start getting your free report now, go to http://login.watchlink.us and enter in your information.

Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) has awarded their storage solution contract to McMurray Stern, the exclusive Spacesaver area contractor for the greater Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange County and Central Coast areas.
The Riverside County DPSS records center was nearing maximum capacity. McMurray Stern in partnership with G/M Business Interiors, provided a storage solution which would replace the existing stationary shelving on the first floor of the facility with eighteen (18) modules of high-density mobile shelving. This new Spacesaver Eclipse(TM) powered solution allowed more than 500,000 linear filing inches of records from multiple floors to be consolidated to the first floor, streamlining the file retrieval process.
The Eclipse(TM) powered system uses menu-based configurability which makes it easier for users to build the system they need by selecting features and options on an ‘a la carte’ basis, Additional safety and programmable features can be added to the powered system in the future, allowing it to evolve with business needs.
“This is an immense project. The Department Of Public Social Services required an experienced company who had implemented projects similar in size and scope.” said Matt Denburg, President of McMurray Stern. “By installing compact shelving, additional capacity was provided for DPSS, thus extending the life of their facility.”
The Department of Public Social Services contributes to the safety and security of thousands of abused and neglected children and adults by serving as the county’s child and adult protective services agency. Foster care, kinship care, In-Home Supportive Services, and adoption services are just a few of the programs available that provide protection for young and old alike. The county’s award winning Curtailing Abuse Related to the Elderly (CARE) program provides education and outreach for the community to assist in the prevention of financial abuse and consumer fraud. In support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, TAALK is launching a daily e-mail tip series on child sexual abuse prevention called TAALK Tips. To sign up for the program, simply visit http://www.taalk.org/taalk_tips.html .
One in four girls and one in six boys is sexually abused before the age of 18. Victims of child sexual abuse are at greater risk than the general population for psychological, emotional, social and physical health problems which often last into adulthood. These problems often appear as depression and suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, drug and alcohol dependencies, school and/or financial failure, teenage pregnancy and promiscuity and criminal behavior.
” Child sexual abuse is clearly a community problem, but child sexual abuse prevention is a personal decision,” said TAALK’s founder, Diane Cranley. “Protecting children from sexual abuse doesn’t come naturally, it’s a skill set that every adult must learn if they want to protect the children in their circle of influence.”
According to Cranley, “The TAALK Tips e-mail series is a convenient way for adults to learn new behaviors that will significantly lower the risk of abuse and the daily delivery is the best way to keep these newly formed behaviors top-of-mind until they become habit.”
Child sexual abuse is a major public health issue that demands the public’s attention. Anyone concerned about preventing child sexual abuse in their community is encouraged to subscribe to TAALK Tips.
TAALK’s founder, Diane Cranley, is available for general interviews as well as her TAALK Tips daily radio interview series. She can be reached at 1-888-808-6558.
TAALK, Talk About Abuse to Liberate Kids, is a 501(c)3 public charity formed to increase awareness of the child sexual abuse epidemic, with a focus on victims who are abused by a family member or someone they know and trust. TAALK’s mission is to break the silence that surrounds child sexual abuse and shift public consciousness from passive acceptance to the belief that “There is No Excuse for Sexual Abuse.” TAALK’s efforts will raise awareness of the existing epidemic and educate the public to take action to protect children. When times are tough and margins tight, cutting costs is essential. However Amy Jackson, Vice President of Insurance for Farm Credit Services of Mid-America, stresses that cutting back on one’s life insurance isn’t a good option.
“Our customers have worked hard to build their farm operations, homes, and plans for their families’ futures,” said Jackson. “In difficult economic times, it’s more important than ever to maintain appropriate levels of life insurance coverage as an essential part of one’s overall risk management strategy.”
With September being Life Insurance Awareness Month, Jackson said that now is a good time for customers to take stock of their provisions for protecting their loved ones or for securing the future of their businesses. Many factors — marriage, children, grandchildren, debt, employment changes, aging parents, business structure, retirement — can create changing needs for insurance. And while no one likes to think about death, she said that sooner or later nearly everyone needs life insurance for things like:
Replacing income for your family’s living expenses
Paying off debt or other obligations
Cover final expenses (funeral, medical, long-term care, etc.)
College funding for your children or grandchildren
Estate transfer and tax obligations
Jackson said that FCS offers many products to meet the life insurance needs of its customers, from the most competitive and financially sound insurance companies in the market — A-rated companies like Minnesota Life, Prudential, Banner Life, West Coast Life and more.
While FCS offers a complete line of products to meet differing needs, Jackson said that in today’s tough and volatile economic climate, customers seeking the maximum coverage for their insurance dollar might want to consider term life insurance.
“Term life insurance typically offers the highest benefit at the lowest cost to the customer, and all death benefits are tax free to the beneficiaries,” said Jackson. “Our term products are individually written for amounts ranging from $ 75,000 up to $ 10 million or more, depending on your needs. Term life is a key component in many customers’ overall life insurance coverage today.”
FCS provides terms of five to 30 years, with the coverage and premiums remaining level for the term selected. For an additional cost, customers may also choose to add optional benefits such as:
Return of Premium – Rider provides 100 percent of the premium paid back to the insured, if still living at the end of the term. A great investment tool for younger folks.
Child Rider – Provides coverage to all children under age 17, can be purchased in $ 1,000 units.
Convertibility Options – Allows customers to convert their term policy to a permanent policy without having to prove insurability. A great option in the event of a life change such as failing health or the need for coverage beyond the original term.
Farm Credit Services of Mid-America currently provides life insurance coverage for one of every six customers, with over $ 1 billion in customer lives insured. Other popular options include group life insurance for FCS loans, and disability coverage for mortgage loans.
FCS has a number of calculators and other resources available to help customers determine their insurance needs. To access them, visit http://www.e-farmcredit.com (click on Farm Loans, then Insurance). You may also contact your local FCS office to request a free custom quote at no obligation.

Full service Public Relations and Web Marketing firm Raging Artists has been named PR firm of record for non-profit AmberWatch Foundation, the definitive name in preventing crimes against children. The firm’s clientele spans the spectrum, from retail and eCommerce to advertising, film production, entertainment, and non-profits. It recently created SaveTheWhalesNow.com, the site behind Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Brosnan’s controversial “Mr. President” campaign.
The announcement comes as AmberWatch Foundation begins a massive multi-platform campaign launching its AmberWatch Alert System, a free, vetted subscriber service that offers parents a proactive and preemptive “Weapon of Choice” in the protection of their children. Raging Artists is handling PR for the launch, as AWF CEO Keith Jarrett begins a national media tour aimed at cultivating a 10 million+ AmberWatchAlert.org database.
“We’re a progressive public relations firm that embraces the power of the Web,” said Raging Artists CEO Hesh Rephun, who founded the firm in 2006. “We are especially receptive to clients who espouse strong thought leadership and approach brand awareness with bravery and conviction. AmberWatch Foundation fits that bill perfectly.”
That bravery is evident in a powerful PSA that was launched on the Web June 21. The spot features moms across the country literally taking up arms against those who would seek to harm their children. It will be followed by print, TV, and radio components.
We are extremely grateful and appreciative that Hesh and his team at Raging Artists stepped up to put their extraordinary talents behind our cause of keeping kids safe though the AmberWatch Alert System,” said Jarrett. “We look forward to great success.
The ad campaign shows an understanding of the powerful technological tools currently available to brands, Rephun said. “A lot of clients talk about ‘today’s world’ but they don’t avail themselves of current technology. The same applies to public relations firms who talk about SEO but don’t walk the walk or invest in R&D. We now have a team of people working 24/7 to stay ahead of the curve. They’re so committed, it’s scary.”
At present, Raging Artists’ services include Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Creation, Online Magazine Development, and Blog Hosting. In addition to SaveTheWhalesNow.com, Raging Artists has developed and marketed online magazines for LA Gear, Moon Media/ADDigital, and others; in addition to its writing staff, the firm also maintains in-house production and photography divisions to create original content for these blogs. In partnership with sneaker marketing consultancy SLAM (Sportie LA Media), Raging Artists just filmed an original Web series for up-and-coming boots and shoes brand BEARPAW, to be launched on its RA-created magazine, BEARPAWstyle.com. “We are not shy about pushing the envelope,” Rephun affirmed. “We ARE Raging Artists. We’re strategic and creative about the art of promotion.”
AmberWatch Foundation was established in 2004, with the mission to provide educational programs and innovative technologies that proactively and preemptively protect children against abduction, predators and the dangers of the digital world. The AmberWatch Foundation is a 501c3 national not for profit organization, headquartered in Seal Beach, California.

Breastfeeding in public is causing a spark of concern for many Americans. Many people both male and female are delicate to the sight of a nursing breast. Mothers are outraged and those on the opposite end of the spectrum are offended. Lorie McCoy, co-founder of Amazing Births and Beyond advocates for mothers and their legal entitlement to nurse publicly. Amazing Births and Beyond is South Florida’s Leading provider of complimentary, integrative care for fertility, conception, pregnancy and birth, offering safe and effective professional services.
Recently,Baby Talk a parenting magazine, was attacked for displaying a giant breast nursing on an August front cover. However, magazine covers arent the only incidents causing public opinion. Kim Kardashian tweeted about a woman breastfeeding in public and stated “EWW Im at lunch, the woman at the table next to me is breast feeding her baby with no cover-up. Many mothers were upset at this comment. McCoy, of Amazing Births and Beyond says Breastfeeding in public is legal in every state. A mother does not need to cover up or go somewhere more private.
Forty-four states have laws with language specifically allowing women to breastfeed in any public or private location. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, health professionals and public health officials promote breastfeeding to improve infant health. According to The Department of Health and Human Services, benefits of breastfeeding have been reported for both child and mother.
In addition to providing essential nutrients to infants, the study conducted reports decreases in gastroenteritis, lower risk of obesity, and lower risk of asthma in the children. Also, benefits for the mother that were noted included, greater weight loss postpartum compared with mothers who bottle-fed, decreased incidence of premenopausal breast cancer and decreased incidence of ovarian cancer.
However, even with support from Big Brother, that has not stopped many businesses from asking nursing mothers to be more private. One Starbucks location asked a mother to use the restroom to feed her child. This ensued the wrath of mothers who imposed a nurse-in. Nurse-ins, similar to sit-ins, has mothers rally together, to nurse their children, to protest against being asked to retreat somewhere more private to nurse.
What many people do not realize is that many infants have a difficult time eating while covered up,
especially in Florida where it is so warm. I think it is terrible to make a nursing mother feel embarrassed or uncomfortable for simply feeding her child, said McCoy.
At Amazing Births and Beyond their goal is to provide both the nurturing and educational support that women need to achieve the birthing/mothering experience that they envision for themselves. We stand behind the AAP which encourages health care professionals to promote breastfeeding as a cultural norm and encourage family and societal support for breastfeeding, said McCoy. Scientifically, babies are born to be breastfed.
Actress, Julie Brown, was quoted saying, I think it is truly bizarre that people would find a photo of a mother breast feeding shocking and offensive. Referring to the picture of her breastfeeding twins being banned on The View. Although many Americans are still squeamish at the site of a nursing breast, breastfeeding is gaining greater support from the government and medical community.
Amazing Births and Beyond offer many classes and offer assistance to mothers breastfeeding and the benefits that your baby will receive from it. After being educated, some women will still choose not to breastfeed. However, we always want to be assures that she is making that decision after being educated. For moms that are choosing not to breastfeed for any duration, we will still encourage them to nurse their newborn for the first few days after birth so that their baby gets antibody-rich colostrum will protect them from infection.
About Amazing Births and Beyond:
At Amazing Births and Beyond we focus on women and their ability to birth normally and with ease.
