The primary card is used for activating, reloading funds, and may transfer funds to the secondary card held by an immediate family member of the primary card account holder. The secondary prepaid card provides access to funds pursuant to terms and conditions of the card agreement.

The Poetry of Stanhope Gayles, Jr. Reflects the Physical, Mental and Spiritual Struggle in a Personal Process of Redemption and Enlightenment

Detroit, MI (PRWEB) January 23, 2013

Poetic justice, failure, redemption, salvation, and continued struggle, and acceptance. The poetry collection (Poedic) Justise by Stanhope Gayles, Jr. is about the eternal battles that happen inside everyone. It is about the physical, mental and spiritual struggle that everyone goes through in the process of growing up and being properly enlightened about the world.

(Poedic) Justise is not a typical poetry book filled with cute poems and haikus about flowers and sunsets although there is some mention of these for reference to the authors life. It is a book about the life, times, and experiences of a child, born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, who suffered through traumatic experiences, death, molestation, incarceration, gangs, crime, drugs and addiction.

A long list of societys ills are present in this book. Yet it is not for a lack of faith, or strength, or even the authors certainty in himself that make them a necessity in the text. They are symptoms of evil in the world that Stanhope Gayles, Jr. moved in. Justice is served to those who work towards deserving it. The poems in (Poedic) Justise reflect the authors deep soul search, his self-molding into strong character and everything else necessary to live with righteousness and grace. It proves his honesty and will to succeed in creating justice for himself which he has successfully done with this volume.

About the Author

Stanhope Gayles, Jr. was born was the last of seven siblings born on Dec. 7, 1976 to Constance Henley-Kaigler and Stanhope Gayles, Sr. At the age of two , Stanhope, Sr. passed away and left Constance to raise seven kids alone. At the age of five, he suffered from sexual abuse till the age of thirteen, creating a volatile environment for the young adult. He suffered from low self esteem, bullying, and environmental dangers when he was growing up on the uncaring streets of Detroit. Turning to alcohol at a young age he found his escape. Gayles continued to progress forward despite his surroundings. He joined the United States Marine Corp at the age of 18, which only served to create a powder keg ready to explode in the author. After serving during Operation Enduring Iraqi Freedom, his alcoholism and drug abuse sky-rocketed, creating a behavior so reckless he was discharged from service (fortunately) under honorable conditions. Gayles, never really fitting in with society due to sexual abuse and shame resulting from it, now had new issues to deal with a society that he could not adjust to, unfamiliar faces, and violent behavior. This was not accepted, and he found himself an outcast in the very country he took an oath to protect. His drug abuse spiraled out of control hurting family, friends, loved ones and anyone whom he came into contact with, sending him into a deep, dark depression wherein he contemplated suicide.
