The Attorney Store .Com Launches Bailey & Galyen’s Texas Father’s Rights Website

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 27, 2007

The state of Texas has a new voice in father’s rights. The law firm of Bailey & Galyen officially launched their Texas Father’s Rights Website today, a resource for fathers, grandparents and those who want to learn more about the importance of father’s rights. The website http://www.texas-fathers-rights.com was designed by the Web Services Team at TheAttorneyStore.com, a provider of legal information and services to to the legal professionals and public.

An increasing interest in the emerging area of father’s rights has compelled law firms and courts alike to acknowledge the existence and importance of men to protect and assert their rights as fathers. With statistics showing an increase in fathers who are divorced or single, issues such as child support, custody and visitation need to be revisited to reflect the active role that fathers wish to have in their children’s life. Unfortunately, statistics also show that mothers are more favored by the courts, regarding custodial issues, even if less fit than the father. Understanding father’s rights helps both parties come to a resolution in which the best interests of a child can be met, without compromising their relationship with both parents.

In the Texas Father’s Rights website you will find information on divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, father’s rights, grandparents rights, relocation and parental alienation. In addition, the website can help one get in touch with an experienced lawyer, if they wish to seek counsel on any issues regarding father’s rights.

About Bailey & Galyen:

Bailey & Galyen is one of the largest “consumer law” firms in Texas with offices in multiple locations around Texas including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Bedford, Houston, as well as in Florida and Missouri. Fathers Seeking to Confirm Paternity Through DNA Testing on the Rise

Fairfield, Ohio (PRWEB) November 28, 2011

Paternity has been pushed into the national spotlight by the recent allegations toward teen pop star Justin Bieber. While tabloids buzz with celebrity paternity stories, thousands of men across the country face the same issue daily and turn to DNA paternity testing to either confirm or refute their relationship to children. According to DDC (DNA Diagnostics Center), the largest provider of private paternity testing worldwide, questions about paternity testing from men have increased annually and now account for about 40% of all inquiries.

As one of the leading companies in DNA testing, were seeing an increase in calls by men seeking paternity answers, especially for cases where there are disputes or where chain of custody is important, said Dr. Michael Baird, chief science officer for DDC. In the case of DDC, were an accredited AABB laboratory that maintains a chain of custody reporting structure to ensure results of a test can be presented in court, if needed.

About 500,000 paternity cases were performed in the United States last year, according to the AABB (aabb.org), the professional society that accredits paternity testing laboratories, in its latest annual report. Establishing paternity is important for the child to have access to legal and social benefits (including social security, veterans and inheritance benefits), provides an accurate medical history and strengthens the bond between father and child. In fact, most state laws require an unmarried couple to complete an Acknowledgment of Paternity (AOP) at the hospital to establish parental rights.

If there are any questions about who the father is, a DNA test is recommended, Dr. Baird states. About 1 out of every 3 tested alleged fathers is found to not be the biological father of a child. After an AOP is provided to the Bureau of Vital Statistics, couples have the option of amending the document with a DNA paternity test to confirm parental rights or fathers have the option of securing a DNA test to establish paternity. However, there is a limited time for the validation to take place. Until that time, parental rights are not fully protected.

In addition to paternity testing services, DDC also provides expert DNA testing for family relationship, adoption, immigration, forensics and ancestry. For more information on DDC visit online at dnacenter.com or call 800-362-2368.

For 16 years, DDC has been the largest provider of private DNA paternity and other DNA tests in the U.S. and worldwide, offering comprehensive DNA testing services for paternity and other family relationships, forensics, cell line authentication, and ancestry. The Company is also known for its groundbreaking technologies, including an exclusive license for the most innovative and accurate non-invasive prenatal paternity test using SNP (single-nucleotide polymorphism) Microarray Technology, which only requires a simple blood draw from the mother and alleged father. Other services provided by DDC include DDC Veterinary, the animal DNA testing division, which provides innovative, quality DNA testing for companion and sport animals. DDC was the first to adopt robotics technology in its laboratory processes, ensuring highly stringent and efficient handling of DNA samples. DDCs unique Dual Process ensures all professionally collected DNA samples are independently tested twice producing legal results of unmatched quality and reliability. DDC is recognized through a number of accreditations nationally and internationally achieving perfect ratings in its past 16 inspections including those performed by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). DDC is also accredited by ACLASS to meet the standards of ISO 17025 and the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Laboratory Accreditation Board International and follows the DNA Advisory Board (DAB) guidelines, which attests to DDCs superior forensic testing service. London Private Investigator Responds to Recent Article Published by BBC Education and Family News: Separated fathers to gain legal right to see children

(PRWEB UK) 12 November 2012

A letter to MPs from the Childrens Minister, Edward Timpson announced the proposed changes to child access laws in 2013. The letter states that both parents should have the chance to play a positive role in their childrens lives when it is safe and in their best interests. This is good news for fathers rights groups but seen as unnecessary by legal experts.

The main concern is for the welfare of the children involved and many believe that the current legislation adequately provides the right protection but others believe the legislation is preventing families from enjoying a meaningful relationship with both parents after divorce or separation.

London Private Investigators is often called upon to conduct matrimonial and family investigations. Family investigations can often contain surveillance sessions to watch children who are part of a separated family that are visiting a parent they do not live with. We are asked to ensure that the child or children are safe and that they are well cared for.

A spokesperson from London Private Investigators said:

We have carried out surveillance on many family visits where the parent and child clearly have a valuable, meaningful and loving relationship. These are the people I feel will benefit from the new changes in the law

London Private Investigators along with their sister company UK Private Investigators is a team of highly trained professional and discreet private investigators and detectives with over 35 years experience in the industry. Their understanding and approachable team of male and female detectives are available 24/7 to conduct matrimonial, corporate and private investigations.

New Law Slashes Biological Fathers Rights: 1-800-LAW-FIRM Fights for Fathers Right to Raise His Own Child

(PRWEB) February 26, 2013

The recently passed Revocation of Paternity Act inadvertently robs fathers of their legal right to see and raise their own child if the father knew or had reason to know that the mother of the child was legally married at the time of conception. This new law has affected Detroit area resident Aaron Grimes. Grimes and Shawnita VanHook-Williams had a public four year long relationship during which she became pregnant. After VanHook-Williams gave birth, however, she decided that her husband should raise the child and denied Grimes paternal rights. Under the new law, this decision is within her legal rights, and Grimes must comply with her wishes. Grimes turned to 1-800-LAW-FIRM for legal help.

In a recent interview, Grimes said, I want to help raise my son. I want my son to know who he is, the part of him thats me So its hard for me to just let it go because he is my son. He is a part of me.

1-800-LAW-FIRM founder and lawyer Ari Kresch was touched by Grimes story, saying, Normally, fathers that you encounter in a legal practice are trying to run away from the responsibility of raising a child and being financially responsible for the child. But Aaron is quite different. Aaron embraced this as an opportunity to be a father. Thats what hes wanted to be, and I was quite moved by his story.

Kresch goes on to explain that the new law does not sufficiently protect biological fathers rights. If a biological father knew or should have known that the mother was technically married, regardless of whether the relationship itself is intact, he has no legal standing in court no matter what the DNA tests show. Equally disturbing is that the legislature does not consider the medical, psychological and legal interests of the child in knowing who its biological father is.

Although a Macomb County Circuit Court judge threw out Grimes case (case number 12-5150-DP), 1-800-LAW-FIRM and Grimes plan to continue to fight for Grimes paternal rights.

Memoir Reveals a Fathers Mistakes, Greatest Joys

Orlando (PRWEB) September 24, 2013

“Epics of a Man” (published by Trafford Publishing) by Freddie McSears Jr. is a uniquely crafted autobiographical depiction of a mans journey through love, loss and personal triumph, clothed as a memoir to his son.

It was McSears own life as a parent that initiated this work. “Being a father, I realized I cannot protect my son from everything,” says McSears. “I had to accept the fact my child would experience various inconveniences and would have to endure through them.”

As the protagonist in “Epics of a Man” explains his life to his son (“if my son can learn from my successes, than he can equally learn from my mistakes”), McSears weaves an intimate story of honesty, while creating a hero who is as vulnerable as he is strong. As the protagonist winds through his memory, a philosophical approach to life is gradually revealed. “While some wait for life to happen and others only survive, Epics of Man is about living life in the drivers seat,” says McSears

McSears hopes this book will help men more frequently open up to their sons. “Many men do not talk to their children about the life they are living or have lived,” says McSears. “Imagine the knowledge and wisdom that could be shared. All too often our childrens focus is on the destination because many cultures teach fathers to face challenges in silence as to not appear weak, leading our children to believe success and failure is as easy as heating food in a microwave. So much more could be learned if fathers would open up honestly about their own journey.”

McSears is fond of the saying, to thine own self be true, and positions his work to be a reflection of this mantra. “To have the strength and faith to be true to oneself, in spite of circumstances that may make that appear counterproductive, is a gift to be treasured and applied to life.”

Fathers Day Event Celebrates Gay and Lesbian Foster Parenting and Adoption

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 15, 2011

This Sunday, June 19, 2011, the Pop Luck Club, an LA-based organization of gay dads, will orchestrate the areas largest Fathers Day celebration to encourage the gay community to consider their options in parenting and building families.

The Sunday brunch celebration will take place at The Abbey, a West Hollywood dining institution and will feature the Heart Gallery LAa photo display of children in the foster care system in need of a familyas well as a book signing by Fox 11 news anchor Christine Devine, whose “Finding a Forever Family” was inspired by her on-air “Wednesdays Child” news segments. There will also be information tables with representatives from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Centers Family Services Program.

Rich Valenza, co-president of the Pop Luck Club, sees this collaboration as groundbreaking. He says, Many gays and lesbians do not realize that we can create our families through fostering and adoption. Bringing these resources to The Abbey, our communitys favorite hot spot, will inspire prospective dads and moms to take the next step as they plan their families.

Bryan Miller, a Supervising Childrens Social Worker with the County, explains why they are reaching out to the gay and lesbian community. He says, On any given day, we have about 500 children in L.A. County who are in need of safe, permanent homes. The gay and lesbian community is an underutilized source of potential foster and adoptive parents for our children.

Its a perfect time for new parents, as well as families considering adding a sibling, to consider fost/adopt, says Tannia Esparza, Family Advocate for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Centers Family Services Program. She adds, We offer support throughout the parenting process. It gives me great pleasure to see so much joy come into the lives of our LGBT parents and to see their children thrive.

Founded in 1998 by a group of prospective gay dads, the Pop Luck Club has grown to become the largest known gay fathers group in the world. It has hundreds of members from across Southern California and recently celebrated the birth of its 500th child.

In 2009, the L.A. County DCFS Adoption and Permanency Resources Division earned the Human Rights Campaigns All Children All Families Seal of Recognition for its excellence in serving LGBT families.

The event runs from 11:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at The Abbey, 692 North Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood.
