LegalView Updates Mesothelioma Blog with Info about An Asbestos-Tainted Toy That Has Been Pulled from Shelves

Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 30, 2007

LegalView.com recently reported on its mesothlelioma information blog that a popular toy was finally pulled from shelves after it was found to have been tainted with traces of asbestos dust. The CSI:Crime Scene Investigation Fingerprint Examination Kits and the CSI:Crime Scene Investigation Field Kits allegedly had traces of asbestos fibers and dust in the product, which is made for children.

Mesothelioma is a deadly form of cancer that is often described as painful and debilitating for victims. Most individuals who are diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer came in contact with asbestos fibers or asbestos dust several years earlier. After having inhaled the asbestos, cancer cells began to form on the interior lining of the lung. Mesothelioma cancer is often misdiagnosed because symptoms are similar to other illnesses and because it takes years and even decades to develop. If caught early, there is a chance of treating mesothelioma, but because it is considered a silent killer by many, it is often not caught until it is far too late for a victim. If you recently purchased either of these recalled toy games, contact a mesothelioma law firm to determine the next best step to protect loved ones. Also contact an experienced asbestos attorney if you, a friend or family member has or may have been previously exposed to asbestos to get the help you deserve.

The games were allegedly found to have asbestos contamination in the fingerprint powder within the kits. An asbestos awareness group known as the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) tested hundreds of toys and other products for asbestos, according to news reports. Several weeks after finding the toy’s contamination, the toys were finally removed from shelves. Contact with asbestos is irreversible and extremely hazardous to any human being, but children are especially susceptible to harm from asbestos. If you feel you, your child, a friend or family member has been exposed to asbestos fibers or dust contact an asbestos law firm for more information on what to do.

Phil-AmSelfDefense.com Begins Blog for Online Store

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) February 14, 2008

George March, owner of Phil-AmSelfDefense.com, has begun a business-oriented blog at http://www.Phil-AmSelfDefense.net, providing his customers with the opportunity to get to know him better and learn more about his self defense superstore.

“I always wanted to have my own store, and nowadays this is the only way to go. My wife is Filipino, hence the name — Phil-Am Self Defense,” says George March, the 55-year-old Marine vet and retired Corrections Officer, who recently opened his self defense store http://www.Phil-AmSelfDefense.com to the Internet community. “I decided to try and make a difference with the products I sell on my web site. My webstore offers everything imaginable to protect yourself and your loved ones,” he said.

In that, the site really does offer a service to the public, providing an array of tasers, stun guns, pepper sprays, stun batons, and stun flashlights to keep people safe from predatory criminals. The store also sells items such as personal alarms, diversion safes, door and window alarms, and child protection devices, allowing for protection of yourself and your home. “Some of my favorites are the cell phone stun guns, lipstick pepper sprays, and the Hot Walkers,” says George, referring to the 1 lb. walking weights that double as stunners.

This service mindset extends to the way George feels about his customers, which led him to open http://www.Phil-AmSelfDefense.net, a blog dedicated to informing customers about his products and educating them about how to defend themselves from assault by criminals. “If I can save one person from being mugged, robbed, raped, or worse, I’ll feel I have made a difference,” says George soberly. The blog provides valuable information, and also allows customers to interact more closely with George, asking questions and giving comments about their own experiences.

Personal Safety Website Launches New Blog

Eagle Mountain, UT (PRWEB) March 12, 2009

According to a 2007 survey released by the FBI, there is a regional increase in violent crime and property crime. With this in mind, people are taking measures in arming themselves with personal protection products. Of course, there is a myriad of options, though there is a difference of opinions with firearms. This is where entrepreneur Carl Allred comes in.

Allred is the proprietor of http://www.AlreadySafe.com, a personal safety website that specializes in self defense weapons.

“What I carry on my site will help people defend themselves legally and in a practical way,” said Allred.

The web store carries a wide selection of products such as stun guns, tasers, safety lights, and knives. Already Safe also has a home protection items such as diversion safes, alarms, surveillance cameras and child safety kits for people who want to extend their safety past their persons.

“This is helpful for the people who don’t want to carry guns,” said Allred. “It allows to have controllable weapons that can disarm an attacker, but without any bloodshed or personal trauma.”

Though the website debuted at the end of 2008, Allred is already making changes towards expansion, which includes the recent launch of a new blog, http://www.911SafetyStoreInfo.com.

The blog has information on staying safe in public areas, such as campuses and parks, as well as reviews of which personal safety devices would service a person’s needs best.

As evidenced by national statistics and the current economic downturn, violent crimes may be on the rise, but it doesn’t mean that individuals or families have to be victimized. Thanks to a valuable resource like AlreadySafe.com, people can have access to weapons that will help them defend themselves and become more than just another number.

Pandoras Blog: a Resource Hub for Internet Safety News

Las Vegas, NV (Vocus/PRWEB) February 08, 2011

Pandora Corporation started a company blog in 2007 with a simple idea: relay the stories from around the world that focus on Internet safety, and give a realistic solution to parents for the problems presented. Almost 1,000 posts later, Pandoras Blog has two weekly series and a massive index of Internet safety news, statistics and lessons to be learned.

We felt a hub for the hundreds of weekly internet safety-related stories was a great idea, explains Pandora Corp. co-founder, Jamie Leasure. While it would be tough to relay every single one, we are really proud of the content we have amassed and passed on to parents around the world.

From new state laws proposed and school policies passed, to new surveys and research conducted, to the good and bad of social networking, Pandoras Blog covers a broad range of media stories related to keeping children safe on the Internet. According to Leasure, one of the goals of Pandoras Blog is to showcase Pandora Corps signature PC Pandora monitoring software as the best solution for most Internet safety-related woes; he explains how two weekly series on the blog are the perfect platform to do so.

About three years ago we started a series on Internet predators, says Leasure. Every Wednesday, we compile the stories gathered from the previous week and showcase the men, and sometimes women, who are charged with or sentenced for Internet crimes relating to the luring, stalking or abuse of children. These stories range from incredible and unbelievable to, unfortunately, sometimes tragic.

Leasure says Wednesdays predator series should serve as a reminder to parents that Internet predators are very real; they are not a myth.

Rarely does a week go by that some guy isnt caught somewhere for soliciting sex from a child online, or worse – succeeding in his efforts and being caught after-the-fact, he states. If a parent is using PC Pandora, they will know for sure who their child is talking to and, more importantly, who is trying to talk to them.

While the Internet predator series is over 125 entries strong, a relatively new Friday series was born out of the changing culture and pure necessity.

We actually started with a MySpace series that highlighted the sheer goofiness and malfeasance found on MySpace, explains Leasure. But as Facebook became the dominant social network, we noticed a lot more stories coming from that side of the fence and started this new running series. The idea behind our Friday posts is to assemble all the stories that illustrate the trouble people get into because they simply do not think before posting on Facebook.

From burglars being caught because they could be identified by their Facebook page, to employees being fired over comments made on the social network, to students arrested for using Facebook to cyberbully their peers, to tragic stories of parents neglecting or harming their children because of a Facebook addiction, every Friday an assembly of the stories born out of Facebook mishaps can be found on Pandoras Blog.

Says Leasure: The Facebook series should serve as a reminder to parents that social networks are giant clubs with no red ropes, bouncers or VIP lists; everyone is welcome and the membership is half-a-billion strong. It is up to parents to know who their child is friends with and how they are representing themselves on these sites. PC Pandora will let parents know if kids are putting up risqu

When It Comes To Gift Giving, New Blog JddigiBlog.com Makes It Personal

Chula Vista, California (PRWEB) October 05, 2011

Graphic designer, Jennifer Davis, is pleased to debut her brand new blog, JddigiBlog.com. The blog includes information regarding unique, personalized gift items that can be purchased through http://www.Jddigi.com.

The personalized gift items I offer provide a way for customers to make keepsakes out of their favorite photos or even childrens drawings, said Davis. I know so many of us struggle to find unique gifts for the people in our lives. I want to help people create gifts that are meaningful and specific to the intended receiver.

Capture precious moments and encapsulate them in silver plated jewelry. Moms are sure to love bangle bracelets, charm bracelets, or pendants emblazoned with their childrens smiling faces or school art projects. Instead of another tie for fathers day, consider personalized two sided dog tags or rings. A charming pewter wreath, round porcelain, or acrylic ornament customized with a family portrait makes a great addition to any Christmas tree. Other popular holiday photo gifts include key rings and statuettes. Names, dates, and sayings can be engraved, as well.

Planning a wedding reception, reunion, or other formal occasion? Customized wallet tin boxes, business card holders, or square bag tags make excellent party favors, as do backpack notepads. New homeowners will enjoy using personalized tumbled stone coaster sets given as a housewarming gift. Davis also specializes in designing team sports banners, posters, and wall clings. A child will get a kick out of having a life-sized image of them making the winning goal.

It was important to me not to have cheap jewelry with a persons photo slapped on it, said Davis. The image quality is stellar even on the tumbled stone items! The photo is literally part of the stone. You can get the jewelry wet without compromising the image. Everything is well protected.

Customer service is of the utmost importance at Jddigi.com. Each product has been screened for quality, aesthetics, and affordability. Davis, who has a background in graphic design, digitally transforms photographs and uses a professional color lab to ensure the integrity of the designs. Orders are shipped within five to seven business days. Feedback is always welcome; in fact, Davis strives to personally respond to all customer queries in a timely manner.

I work with each customer to make sure that their item is exactly the way they want it, said Davis. Customers always approve the design before it is created to make sure it is exactly to their specifications.

To learn more about the customization process, visit the sites brand new blog, http://www.JddigiBlog.com. Davis frequently updates the interactive platform with unique and meaningful gift ideas, in addition to product reviews.

New Rainbow Roar Blog Helps Kids 4-14 Cope with Worry, Loss and Grief

Herndon, VA (PRWEB) October 25, 2012

Launching today is Rainbow Roar, a blog designed to help children begin to work through emotional issues such as worry, loss, grief, bullying, loneliness, and confusion triggered by everything from the death of a pet to parents divorce or military deployment.

The blog provides a safe, privacy-protected site where kids can connect online with other kids experiencing similar worries and emotions. By writing and drawing, kids as young as 4 can, with their parents help, begin to explore their feelings. At the same time, Rainbow Roar gives older children and young teens an anonymous forum they can use to tell their stories and explore their emotions and what has caused them. This helps children take the critical first step toward opening up so that parents and counselors can help them heal, move forward, and grow.

The first 75 kids to post on Rainbow Roar will be entered to win a free Kindle Fire HD.

Rainbow Roar founder Susan Bach Weaver is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and author of the popular Rainbow Reach workbook series. Our whole purpose is to give children a gentle but effective way to explore their emotions so they can begin to feel better, she says. To do it, Rainbow Roar takes the principles of the workbooks and makes them highly interactive. For example, kids can dedicate a drawing to a hero who is deployed in the military. Not only do they see their drawing published on the blog, they also see drawings, poems, and postings from many other children who are going through the same issues they face.

A Daily Exercise for Opening Up an All-important Conversation

It can be tough to get children especially very young children to talk about what they are feeling. Talking, however, is critical. Research shows that 15-20% of adolescents (starting at age 5) suffer from depression[1]. In the US, emotional and behavioral problems are among the most prevalent conditions of children ages 4-17, with serious consequences for academic achievement and social development[2]. Says Weaver, When parents suspect kids are having a tough time, they can use Rainbow Roar to get a temperature reading and help them work through what theyre feeling.

Stories, Drawings and Posts Welcome

Rainbow Roar encourages children to post content about what they are feeling happy, sad, worried or confused as well as helpful tips for other children going through tough times. Posts can be just a few sentences or several paragraphs. Longer works poems, drawings and stories can be emailed to Rainbow Roar where they will be reviewed and published to the blog. To maintain a safe, positive and secure environment, posts do not feature childrens identities and no comments are allowed on content submitted to the blog. All posts are reviewed by Rainbow Roar before theyre allowed to be visible on the site.

The Rainbow Roar blog (http://www.RainbowRoar.com) is operated by RAINBOW REACH an organization dedicated to providing counseling, outreach programs and materials to help children ages 4-14 cope with grief, loss, and anxiety. RAINBOW REACH was founded by Susan Bach Weaver, a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.

The Rainbow Reach workbook series has received glowing reviews from parents, psychologists, trauma therapists, veterinarians and noted authors in the field of grief recovery, including Fran Zamore (GriefWork), Linda Goldman (Raising Our Children to be Resilient), Russell Friedman and John W. James (When Children Grieve), and Melissa Taylor (Imagination Soup blog).

The first four activity books in the series are available for $ 13.95 each on Amazon:

Heroes! Activities for Kids Dealing with Deployment

Love & Memories: Activities for Kids Who Have Lost a Loved One

Forever Friend: Activities for Kids Who Have Lost a Pet

Worry Busters! Activities for Kids Who Worry Too Much

Woods Davis, Vice President of Marketing, adds, We greatly value informed feedback about ways we can improve and better serve our homeowners and partners.
